SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The BYU Cougars are officially in bowl week preparation after landing in Texas on Christmas Eve. After spending Christmas Day seeing the sights and having fun around San Antonio, Kalani Sitake’s team focuses on Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and the Colorado Buffaloes in the 2024 Valero Alamo Bowl.
BYU and Colorado collide for the 13th time as the Cougars trail 3-8-1 in the series. It has been 36 years since they last played in the 1988 Freedom Bowl. Ty Detmer spearheaded a come-from-behind, 20-17 BYU win.
As usual, there are several events for fans traveling to the 2024 Alamo Bowl.
