LJ Martin Gives BYU Early Lead Over Colorado

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – LJ Martin looks healthy after carrying the BYU Cougars to a 7-0 lead over Colorado in the 2024 Alamo Bowl.
No. 17 BYU ends the 2024 campaign in the Valero Alamo Bowl against Heisman Trophy-winner Travis Hunter and the No. 23 Colorado Buffaloes.

Martin accounted for nearly two-thirds of the Cougar’s first-quarter offense through the air and on the ground. The sophomore ran for 18 yards on three carries in the scoring drive, plunging into the end zone on a one-yard rush.
Martin led all Cougar running backs with 121 carries and 630 yards. Martin’s five touchdowns trail Jake Retzlaff’s six this season.
BYU leads 10-0 with 2:15 left in the first quarter. The Cougars recovered on an onside kick after Will Ferrin drilled a 51-yard field goal.
