SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz responded in the best way possible, defeating the Houston Rockets 133-125 after falling to the same team a day prior.
Yesterday, Houston and Utah matched up, and the Rockets took a convincing 129-101 victory. Both Alperen Sengun and Kevin Durant scored 25 or more, while Ace Bailey led the Jazz with 19 points.
But tonight, it was a different story. Keyonte George bounced back from a rough outing with 28 points and eight assists, Lauri Markkanen led the squad with 29, and Jusuf Nurkic flirted with a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds.
The Utah Jazz will now hit the road and head to the East Coast for games against the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks.

Yesterday against Houston, the Jazz’s offense was bad in the halfcourt… and in transition.
Big opportunity to bounce back tonight. pic.twitter.com/v2JAa5SwNN

First Quarter
Would expect the Jazz to try to get Keyonte something easy early tonight against the Rockets.
Jazz offense can’t survive without George’s scoring.

Ace Bailey running 90 feet to stop the easy Kevin Durant layup, then running 94 feet the other direction to get the assist to Nurkic should have Jazz fans salivating.
That was crazy.

Ace Bailey with 3/1/1/1/1 in the first five minutes. He’s constantly filling up the stat sheet.

Nice bounce back from the Jazz after yesterday’s poor outing.

Walt Clayton is playing great.
Recognizing his first step can collapse the defense and he’s dishing.

Third Quarter
Ace Bailey might already be a better all-around player than I expected him to be at any point this season.
His basketball IQ has added a layer of connectivity to the Jazz’s starting lineup that they were missing.

Keyonte with a great dig from the corner and forces a turnover on a driving Kevin Durant. Got his fingers on the ball, and it goes off KD’s knee out of bounds.
— Chandler Holt (@CHoltSports) December 2, 2025
Jazz have roasted Alperen Sengun over and over in the pick and roll.
This Rockets team is going to have to figure some things out come playoff time, the other top teams in the league are going to be able to pick at their flaws.

This is a big three minutes here for the Jazz to close the third quarter.
If they can keep this lead up around 16 or more and the Rockets will quit.

The @houstonrockets close the third quarter on a 12-0, and instead of leading by 20+, the @utahjazz are up just nine headed into the final period.

Walt Clayton fouled Amen Thompson HARD on the break to make him earn his two. Helped him up off the ground after too. Loved everything that happened there.

With eight minutes left in the 4Q, the Jazz roll out Walt Clayton, Keyonte George, Svi Mykhailiuk, Kevin Love, and Kyle Filipowski

The Rockets just committed five fouls in 36 seconds to put themselves into the penalty.
They didn’t touch the ball once in the sequence.

— Utah Jazz (@utahjazz) December 2, 2025
The Rockets point guard problem was on full display tonight.
I think it’s going to be hard to win in the playoffs with Sengun and Durant having to do all of the last scoring and playmaking.
Amen Thompson is great, but I’m not sure I’d bet my championship hopes on him yet.
— Ben Anderson (@BensHoops) December 2, 2025
Keyonte knocks down a pair and then jumps a pass on the other end to make it back to the stripe. Winning plays.
