Report: Jazz To Sign Elijah Harkless To Two-Way Deal

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz are reportedly signing San Diego Clippers guard Elijah Harkless to a two-way contract.
Ian Begley of SNY, and Michael Scotto of HoopsHype both reported the transaction on December 31.
“Utah Jazz are signing Elijah Harkless of the San Diego Clippers to a two-way deal, per SNY sources,” Begley announced on social media. “Harris has established himself as one of the top defenders in the G League, scored 31 points (5 made threes) vs Hustle in regular-season opener.”

Harkless, 24, joins the Jazz in his second season removed from a productive college career.
The guard played for Cal State Northridge, Oklahoma, and UNLV during his five-year college career before going undrafted in 2023.
Harkless averaged 15.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 16 appearances with the Los Angeles Clippers G League affiliate in the Tip-Off Tournament this season before posting 31 points in the regular season opener last Friday.

David Jones Garcia, who signed with the Jazz in November will be waived to make room for Harkless on the roster.

The Jazz also have Micah Potter and Oscar Tshiebwe on two-way contracts.
Beginning January 5, teams can sign players to 10-day contracts.
