Utah Jazz Partner With Travis Scott To Bring All-Star Events To SLC

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz announced they are partnering with hip-hop superstar Travis Scott as they finalize plans for All-Star Weekend.
The Jazz and Smith Entertainment Group partnered with Cactus Jack, the record label and brand from multi-platinum artist Scott, to produce several attractions.

Travis Scott, All-Star Events In Salt Lake City
The first event is a free-to-attend, daytime snowboarding competition, Grit Rail Jam. The two-day event will take place at the Olympic Legacy Plaza at The Gateway. Amateurs and professionals alike can compete for the medals and cash prizes up for grabs. Amateurs go at 2-5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17. Pros, and the top female and male amateur riders from Friday, will compete from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18.

The next attraction is an innovative pop-up retail experience at The Gateway, The Shop – Salt Lake City. The shop will feature activations from Cactus Jack, MRKT, StockX, The Webster Miami, CounterPoint, and Mitchell & Ness featuring SLAM and Thrifthood. The Shop – Salt Lake City will be located at 16 N. Rio Grande and be open to the public from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Feb. 16-18 and from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Feb. 19.
Lastly, the Cactus Jack Concert Series will take place at The Depot on February 17-18. Don Toliver and Sheck Wes will perform on the first day. Additional artists, who have yet to be announced, will perform on the second day. The concert series will begin at 8 p.m. on both days at The Depot, located at 13 North 400 West at The Gateway. Tickets will go on sale at this link starting Friday, Feb. 3.

“As a marquee event for the league, the NBA All-Star 2023 program is filled with a series of basketball competitions and fan activations, and the Utah Jazz are adding another level of entertainment that will expand the party even further to the west side of downtown, making it a truly city-wide celebration,” said Utah Jazz President Jim Olson. “With more programming, there will be more opportunities for local residents and out-of-state visitors alike to have memorable experiences and soak up the electric atmosphere of All-Star weekend.”
