Jordan Clarkson Pours in 13 First Quarter Points For Utah Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY- Jordan Clarkson and the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets are clashing at Delta Center in the last home game of 2024.
The division rival Nuggets from the other side of the Rocky Mountains boast one of the NBA’s highest-scoring offenses, but the Jazz hung right with them in the first quarter thanks to 13 early points from Jordan Clarkson.

Clarkson dropped in two three-points as a part of his scorching start. Johnny Juzang also added eight points of his own and was Utah’s biggest positive of the quarter with a +12 in the +/- column.

At the end of the opening frame, the Jazz led the visiting Nuggets 37-36.
Jazz Host Nuggets Looking To Snap Three-Game Losing Streak
After winning back-to-back games for the first time this season over the Detroit Pistons and Brooklyn Nets, the Jazz have dropped three straight to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Jazz will host the Nuggets before embarking on a three-game east coast road trip with stops against the New York Knicks on New Year’s Day, before playing back-to-back games in Miami and Orlando beginning Saturday.

At 7-23, the Jazz own the fifth-worst record in the NBA but are tied for the second-fewest wins overall.
The Nuggets travel to face the Jazz before opening a heavy stretch of home games to begin the new year.
After facing the Jazz, the 17-13 Nuggets will play five of their next six games in Denver as they look to climb out of the seventh seed in the West.
