Johnny Juzang Diagnosed With Right Hand Fracture

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz wing Johnny Juzang has been diagnosed with a fractured right hand.
The team announced the injury shortly before facing the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, January 11.

Johnny Juzang Diagnosed With Fractured Hand
On Friday, the Jazz listed Juzang as questionable for their matchup with the Suns due to right-hand soreness but updated the injury to a fracture before tipoff.
The third-year wing is in the midst of a breakout season in Utah averaging a career-high 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 41 percent from the floor and 40 percent from three.
That’s a change for Johnny Juzang who had previously been diagnosed with right hand soreness.

Juzang has appeared in 32 games for the Jazz this season, including five starts.
The 23-year-old scored five points and grabbed six rebounds in the Jazz’s loss to the Heat on Thursday.
Juzang Inked Four-Year Deal With Jazz Last Summer
The UCLA product is in the first year of a four-year deal he signed with the team in the summer of 2024.
After a successful college career that included a Final Four run with the Bruins in 2021, Juzang joined on a two-way contract in 2022.

The forward spent the majority of his first two years in the NBA with the Salt Lake City Stars, the Jazz’s G League affiliate, but has remained with the primary roster throughout his third season.
Only the first year of Juzang’s four-year, $12 million deal is guaranteed.
