Utah Jazz Can’t Keep Up After Halftime, Fall To Grizzlies In Memphis

Jan 25, 2025, 8:44 PM | Updated: Jan 27, 2025, 11:09 am

MEMPHIS – The Utah Jazz were competitive for three quarters but got outscored by nearly 20 in the third which resulted in a blowout loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

Utah lost each of the first two quarters by just four points despite most players having shooting struggles. Those struggles came back to bite the Jazz after halftime as Memphis shot 60 percent from the floor and 43 percent from three in the third. Other than Svi Mykhailiuk who scored eight, no Jazzman had more than three points in the quarter.

Collin Sexton led the way for Utah with 20 points. Even he shot poorly from the floor but capitalized at the free throw line with nine makes on 10 attempts.

The Jazz will return home to take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, January 27.
