NEW YORK, New York – Save for a fast start, it’s been a difficult first half for the Utah Jazz in New York. Seventh-year guard Collin Sexton has been the lone bright spot after leading his team with 13 points while missing one shot in the opening half.
The Jazz (7-24) are in the Big Apple to face the Knicks (23-10) at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, January 1.

Sexton dropped seven first quarter points, hitting a pair of acrobatic lay-ups in the process. After a quick rest, the former Alabama star hit two threes in the second as Utah fell behind 56-46 at the break.
Sexton finished 5-of-6 from the field and was a perfect 3-for-3 from deep for a team-high 13 points. He added three assists while turning the ball over once.
Jazz Face Knicks To Open Road Swing
The Jazz are attempting to snap a four-game losing streak when they travel to face the Knicks on New Year’s Day.
At 7-24, the Jazz own the second-worst record in the West and are tied with the Charlotte Hornets and the Toronto Raptors for the second-fewest wins in the NBA.
