SALT LAKE CITY – Real Salt Lake has acquired Nottingham Forest midfielder and Paraguayan international Braian Ojeda on loan with an option to buy, the club announced today.
Ojeda, 22, will join Real Salt Lake with the hope of improving the club’s midfield stock. He is best as a defensive midfielder and will provide stability in the center of the park.
“Braian is a dynamic, two-way midfielder who will bring another option to our already talented group in the center of the pitch,” said RSL General Manager Elliot Fall. “He is a player hungry to compete and develop, while also bringing valuable international experience from his time with Nottingham Forest and Paraguay. We look forward to getting him on the ground in Salt Lake and competing for minutes soon.”
From the Forest to the mountains.
Welcome to SLC, Braian!

Ojeda joins Real Salt Lake having spent the previous year with recently promoted English Premier League club Nottingham Forest. However, since joining Forest in 2021, Ojeda has only managed to play in three games.
Prior to Forest, Ojeda spent time with Club Olimpia and Defensa y Justicia of Paraguay and Argentina respectively.
Ojeda made his Paraguay debut on September 2, 2021, when he started in the 0-0 draw against Ecuador. He has since made four international caps.
