SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has released their new 2021 away kits two weeks prior to the start of pre-season.
The kit, which was designed by RSL employee and graphic designer David Dryden, has a white base with pockets of red and black layered on top.
Dryden has been the clubs senior graphic designer since 2016 and has worked on a number of projects over the years.
Unlike previous years, the RSL logo is in all red, same with the Adidas logo. However, Life Vantage, the club’s main kit sponsor, stands bold at the front of the kit in a darker tone.

The traditional Adidad stripes across the shoulder return in 2021. The three stripes are iconic for Adidas and have been the main feature on many of RSL soccer kits in the past. Last year, however, the away kit only featured one shoulder with the three-stripe pattern.
One of the more subtle, yet powerful, features of the kit lies below the sleeve where a thin red line wraps around the arm.
The kit also features a beehive, Leo the lion, and other subtle details.
“I am a fan of this kit, I would pay full price, especially knowing where it came from and especially knowing that it is symbolic of the rebirth of RSL,” RSL Show producer Andy Munoz said on their latest episode.
