SALT LAKE CITY – In a special moment, Willson & William Contreras exchanged lineup cards prior to the Braves-Cubs game after the younger William was called up earlier in the day.
The defending champion Atlanta Braves hosted the Chicago Cubs in the rubber match of a three game series in Atlanta on Thursday, April 28.

Willson has been a catcher with the Cubs since making his Major League debut June of 2016 prior to the Cubs World Series run that postseason. William made his big league debut as a catcher with the Atlanta Braves in July of 2020. He played 52 games with the Braves in 2021 and appeared in one game of the National League Divisional Series where the Braves eliminated the Milwaukee Brewers on their way to winning the World Series.
