Davis Darts Senior QB Tradon Bessinger Commits To Iowa Hawkeyes Football

SALT LAKE CITY — Davis Darts quarterback Tradon Bessinger, one of the top high school QBs in Utah, officially announced his commitment to the Iowa Hawkeyes football program on Saturday.
Bessinger is currently a four-star prospect and ranked as the ninth-best QB in the country according to ESPN.

Bessinger had originally committed to Boise State back in May. Since making that decision, he received offers from BYU, Minnesota, UCLA, and Iowa.
Bessinger made an official visit to the Iowa campus on October 24. The following day, the Hawkeyes blasted the Minnesota Golden Gophers 41-3.
Currently, Iowa is fifth in the Big Ten with a record of 6-2. The program hasn’t had a losing season since 2012.

According to 247 Sports, Bessinger still has a visit to BYU on the schedule for November 15. The Cougars host the TCU Horned Frogs on that day.
About Tradon Bessinger
The 6’5, 210-pound senior enters the UHSAA playoffs third in the nation and first in Utah with 3,595 passing yards, while completing better than 75 percent of his attempts. Bessinger has 44 passing touchdowns against only three interceptions and led the Darts to a 9-1 regular season, earning first place in 6A Region 1.
He threw for a season-high 504 yards in a 54-22 win over Syracuse. Bessinger has four or more touchdown passes in eight of the ten games this season.
He entered the 2025 playoffs with 10,190 career passing yards and 118 touchdowns.
