Utah LB Nephi Sewell Signs Undrafted Free Agent Deal With New Orleans Saints

SALT LAKE CITY – The New Orleans Saints signed former Utah Utes linebacker Nephi Sewell to an undrafted free agent deal following the 2022 NFL Draft.
Nephi Sewell didn’t hear his name called on draft day and will try and make the 53-man roster with the Saints.

The former Utah standout joined a Saints team that posted a 9-8 record in 2021.

Sewell measured in at five-feet-11.5-inches tall and 226 lbs. He also measured with 29 3/8 inch arms and 8 1/2 inch hands.

Vertical Jump – 32 inches
Broad Jump – 10 feet
About Nephi Sewell
After transferring from Nevada, the St. George, Utah native played at the University of Utah from 2019-21.
During his final season with the Utes, Sewell recorded 89 total tackles, 54 solo tackles, and one interception.
Sewell finished his Utah career with 143 total tackles, 89 solo tackles, one forced fumble, two forced fumbles, three interceptions, and two pass breakups.
