SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah State and current Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love shared a touching story about his mother prior to his first NFL start.
The Kansas City Chiefs will host Love and the Packers at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, November 7.
Love will replace Aaron Rodgers as Green Bay’s starter after the veteran tested positive for COVID-19 prior to Week 9.
During a weekday Q&A with the media, Love told a story about his mother’s support for him during football games.
“It’s gonna be good. I’m gonna have some family there and whatnot so it’ll be good to have some support out there,” Love said. “My mom, she’s at every game, whether I’m starting or not. So that’s awesome.”

The former USU star continued by saying that his mom has attended every one of his games since the start of his college career, including games where he didn’t suit up or play.
“Trust me, it’s crazy. My mom, she’s very awesome. She’s been doing that since college when I was redshirting as a freshman, you know, knowing I’m not even suiting up to see the field. You know, she was there and things like that. I tell her, I was like, “you know, I’m not playing. Like you don’t have to come out of your way to come to these games.” And she’s like, “no, I’m gonna be there. I want to see you.” So that’s been awesome,” Love added. “She’s been at every game and it’s nice to just know that she’s there. I try to look for her in the stands and it’s an awesome feeling. She’s great. She’s amazing and just shows how much she loves me and cares about me to be there.”
