New Orleans Saints Elevate Former Utah Star Chase Hansen To Active Roster

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The New Orleans Saints promoted former Utah Utes linebacker Chase Hansen to the team’s 53-man active roster from the practice squad prior to Week 17.
Hansen was elevated to the active roster on Saturday, January 2.
The Saints are scheduled to close the regular season against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, January 3.

The former Utah standout first joined New Orleans after he went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft.
He signed a three-year contract with the Saints.

Hansen made his NFL debut on September 13, 2020.
He has spent the majority of the 2020 season on injured reserve or the Saints’ practice squad.
The Saints will kick-off against the Panthers on Sunday, January 2 at 2:25 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on FOX.
