Group Of Local Players Cut By NFL Teams Before League’s 53 Player Active Roster Deadline

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – NFL teams cut multiple football players with ties to the state of Utah prior to the league’s deadline to trim active rosters.
Saturday, September 5, was the league’s deadline for organizations to cut the number of players on active rosters from 80 to 53.
During the final roster cuts, the following players from Utah, BYU, and other school in the state, were waived:
Former Utah Utes
- Javelin Guidry – Cornerback (cut by New York Jets)
