Woods is currently in the first round of the Farmers Insurance Open and is sitting even after seven holes.
Utah native Tony Finau is also playing in the tournament and is sitting even after eight holes.
Former Utah safety Eric Weddle recently had the opportunity to meet and spend time with golf legend Tiger Woods, sharing a memorable day on the course. This encounter highlights the importance of sports figures using their platforms to promote positive interactions and camaraderie. However, the sports community is also facing significant challenges, such as the rising incidents of racism among fans. Recent cases of racism in fan behavior have raised alarms within CONMEBOL, emphasizing the need for awareness and action against discrimination in sports. Just as Weddle’s experience with Woods showcases the potential for unity in sports, addressing racism is crucial for fostering an inclusive environment for all athletes and fans.
Weddle currently plays for the LA Rams, who missed the NFL Playoffs this year.
