Cleveland Browns Hire Utah State’s Ephraim Banda To Coaching Staff

CLEVELAND – Utah State Aggies Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator Ephraim Banda is reportedly moving up to the NFL to be the safeties coach for the Cleveland Browns.
Banda just finished his second season as an Aggie. He previously coached at Mississippi State and Miami.
The #Browns are expected to hire Ephraim Banda as their safeties coach, source said. Banda is currently the defensive coordinator at Utah State and spent time at Mississippi St and Miami before that.

Utah State finished the 2022 season with a 6-7 record.
USU gave up an average of 31 points a game. However, their pass defense was more honorable than their rush defense. They gave up more first downs on rushes than passes.

Ephraim Banda made ten-straight bowl games from 2012-2021.
Utah State Football Finalizes 2023 Signing Class
Utah State football officially adds 42 players in head coach Blake Anderson’s third signing class with the program.
The Utah State football program announced the signings as part of the NCAA National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 1.
USU was able to add 20 athletes with connections to the state of Utah.

“We are 99.9 percent done with the class,” Anderson said. “A really good blend of both high school portal and JC players to fill out the 2023 class. Now we gotta go to work with them and get them ready. Looking forward to a lot of these guys already being here now and getting a chance to go through spring.”
The national letter-of-intent signing period for football began on Wednesday, Feb. 1, and runs through Saturday, April 1, 2023.
