Former BYU Forward Yoeli Childs Officially Signs With Washington Wizards

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Washington Wizards signed former BYU forward Yoeli Childs to an Exhibit 10 deal after he went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft.
The 2020 NBA Draft took place virtually on Wednesday, November 18.
Ten days later on Saturday, November 28, the Wizards officially added Childs to their roster.

The forward will have the opportunity to earn a roster spot during training camp prior to the start of the 2020-21 season, which begins in December.
Childs joins a Washington team that posted a 25-47 record during the 2019-20 NBA season.
Yoeli Childs at BYU
The South Jordan, Utah native played for the Bingham Miners before joining Dave Rose’s program at BYU in 2016.
After exploring opportunities in professional basketball following his sophomore and junior seasons, Childs returned to BYU to play his senior season with Cougars under Mark Pope.

In his final year in Provo, the forward led BYU to a 24-8 overall record, including an upset of No. 2 Gonzaga.
During his BYU career, Childs averaged 17.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game
He is the sixth all-time leading scorer in BYU men’s basketball history.
