Beckstead Leads #5 Timpview To Road Victory Over #8 Bingham

SALT LAKE CITY – The Timpview Thunderbirds went on the road and stayed defeated with a double-digit win over the Bingham Miners, 49-30.

Timpview outscored Bingham, 28-14 in the second half to secure their fourth win of the season. Timpview’s Micah Beckstead ran for a pair of scores. With the result, the Miners fell to a 2-2 record and the T-Birds improved to 4-0.

Region 1
Weber 7 @ #7 Farmington 35 (Thurs.)
The game was close in the first half with the Phoenix holding a 13-7 lead. In the third quarter, Farmington scored 22 unanswered points and that was the difference. Easton Wright threw for four touchdowns, finding Mitch Nielson three times and once to Ben Stucki.

Clearfield 0 @ Fremont 34
The Fremont Silverwolves blanked the Clearfield Falcons on Friday night, 34-0. Chance Sjostrom, Ridge Whitney, Slade Parker, and Braxton accounted for Fremont touchdowns. With the result, the Silvewolves improved to a 1-3 record and the Falcons fell to 0-4.

Taylorsville 7 @ Kearns 45
The Kearns Cougars crushed the Taylorsville Warriors for a big home win on Friday. After taking a 24-0 lead into the halftime break, the Cougars added three more touchdowns to their total during the final half. Kearns’ Bryce Benson and Azias Esera each scored two touchdowns in the win. With the result, the Warriors dropped to a 2-2 record and the Cougars improved to 1-3.
Cyprus 8 @ #13 West 55
The West Panthers walloped the Cyprus Pirates on Friday evening, 55-8. The Panthers owned a 55-0 advantage before allowing the Pirates to score their first and only points of the night during the final quarter. West’s Isaiah SueSue threw five touchdown passes in the game. With the win, the Pirates moved to a 2-2 record and the Panthers improved to 2-2.
Hunter 6 @ Roy 41
The Roy Royals used a big first half and final quarter to defeat the visiting Hunter Wolverines. Roy owned a 21-0 halftime lead and blanked the Wolverines 13-0 in the fourth quarter on its way to a big win. The Royals’ Jaydan Hurt, DaeQwan Snider, and Dru Gardner each ran for touchdowns in the game. With the result, the Royals improved to a 3-1 record and the Wolverines dropped to 0-4 this season.

#3 Corner Canyon 47 @ #23 West Jordan 14
The Corner Canyon Chargers soundly defeated the West Jordan Jaguars on Friday night, 47-14. After a 7-7 first quarter, the Chargers scored 20 unanswered points before halftime. After a close battle in the third quarter, Corner Canyon put the game away with a pair of scores in the final quarter. Chargers quarterback Isaac Wilson tossed four touchdown passes in the win. With the result, the Chargers moved a 3-1 record and the Jaguars fell to 3-1 this season.

The Lehi Pioneers crushed the Copper Hills Grizzlies on Friday, 59-0. Pioneers quarterback Jackson Brousseau led the rout with four touchdown passes. With the result, Lehi improved to a 4-0 record and the Grizzlies dropped to 1-3.

Rigby (ID) 7 @ #4 American Fork 13
The American Fork Cavemen held off the Trojans of Rigby, Idaho, 13-7. The Trojans took a 7-3 lead into the halftime break, but the Cavemen bounced back and scored 10 unanswered points over the final two quarters. American Fork’s Jacob Eardley ran for a touchdown in the contest. With the win, American Fork improved its record to 4-0 this season.

Sky View (4A) 3 @ #11 Mountain Ridge 13
The Mountain Ridge Sentinels scored 10 unanswered points to beat the Sky View Bobcats on Friday, 13-3. After a 3-3 first quarter, Mountain Ridge added a field goal in the second quarter and a touchdown in the second half on the way to its fourth win of the season. Jaxson Reiser scored the game’s only touchdown. With the result, the Sentinels improved to 4-0 and the Bobcats fell to a 1-3 record.
Westlake 3 @ Herriman 14
The Herriman Mustangs fought off the Westlake Thunder for a 14-3 home victory on Friday evening. The Mustangs were led by touchdown runs from Chachi Pan and Carson Grundy. With the result, the Thunder fell to a 1-3 record the Mustangs improved to 1-3.
Wasatch (5A) 20 @ #20 Pleasant Grove 58
The Pleasant Grove Vikings crushed the Wasatch Wasps on Friday, 58-20. After falling into a 17-7 hole during the opening minutes of the contest, the Vikings outscored the Wasps over the final three quarters, 51-3. Vikings quarterback Nic Staffieri threw four touchdown passes in the win. With the result, the Wasps dropped to 1-3 and the Vikings moved to a 3-1 record.
