Collin Sexton Lifts Utah Jazz Over Clippers In Los Angeles

SALT LAKE CITY – Collin Sexton carried the Utah Jazz in the fourth quarter as they downed the Los Angeles Clippers 110-102.
Sexton scored 22 points, nine of which came in the fourth quarter as the Jazz used a late 18-6 run to close out the Clippers.
With the win the Jazz moved to 8-3 on the season.
First Quarter
The Jazz opened the game with a 16-10 run on 4-5 shooting from downtown.
However, the Clippers answered with a 17-6 to retake the lead behind 15 first quarter points from Paul George.

Jordan Clarkson had 10 points to lead the Jazz on 4-6 shooting.
After one, the Jazz and Clippers were tied at 29.
Second Quarter
George continued his brilliant first half, scoring 24 points on 9-13 shooting, and cutting the double-digit Jazz lead to one at 50-49.
However, Lauri Markkanen took over the game in the final three minutes of the half scoring 11 of the Jazz final 13 points.

The Finnish forward scored 14 points on a perfect 4-4 shooting from the floor while adding three rebounds and three assists.
The Jazz led the Clippers 63-56 at the break.
Third Quarter
The Clippers erased the Jazz halftime lead with a 7-0 run to open the third quarter.
The Jazz had their worst offensive quarter of the game shooting just 33 percent from the floor, committing six turnovers, and recording only three assists.

John Wall scored eight points off the bench while no Jazz player scored more than four in the period.
After three the Jazz trailed the Clippers 85-84.
Fourth Quarter
The Jazz poor offense carried over into the fourth quarter as the team struggled to get easy buckets in the halfcourt.
The Clippers built their lead up to four multiple times in the fourth quarter, but the Jazz answered with a 9-0 run over a one-minute stretch with five minutes left to play to build a six point lead.

Collin Sexton repeatedly beat the Clippers defender to the rim and either finished at the room or got to the free-throw line
The guard scored nine fourth-quarter points as the Jazz down the Clippers 110-102.
