SALT LAKE CITY—On Saturday, Utah Football received a rather valuable commitment from All-American Murray kicker Dillon Curtis.
One of the best kickers in the class and one of the best in Utah state history, Curtis enjoyed a stellar senior season.
He completed an official visit to Utah last weekend, which allowed the program to make clear how big of a priority he was.

All-American Dillon Curtis Commits To Utah After Heated Recruitment
Curtis set three new state records this season. He converted the longest ever, a 63-yard field goal against Tooele. He went 6-for-6 against Payson is the most field goals made in a game. Lastly, his 21 field goals for the year are the most ever in a single season.
Selected to the Navy All-American Bowl, Curtis will represent the state of Utah and his family. He will travel to San Antonio, Tx. next month for the All-Star game.
Curtis held offers from Utah, Utah State, Colorado, and Weber State before Washington made a late run at him. It was a back-and-forth battle between Utah and Washington down the stretch, but the hometown Utes were able to lock him in. Curtis will also graduate early and join the program next month.
Utah Gaining Momentum Heading Into Early Signing Period?
The Utes picked up an important commitment in Curtis, but he’s far from the only prospect Utah is pursuing in the final days before the early signing period.
Utah is hosting two prospects this weekend: Bingham offensive lineman Nick Hallock and Arlington (TX) cornerback Deon Mays.
Last weekend, they hosted four prospects for official visits as well, including Curtis, four-star running back Raycine Guillory of Aledo (TX), three-star defensive lineman Pupualii Sepulona of St. Louis (HI), and three-star quarterback Jamarian “Byrd” Ficklin of Muskogee (OK).
Utah is in a good spot with just about each of these prospects, which could lead to an eventful week with the early signing period opening on Wednesday.
