This is yet another brutal loss to injury for the Utes. Rose provided Utah with the spark they were desperately searching for offensively.
Brandon Rose season-ending injury
Rumors circulated Monday night that Rose suffered an injury late in the game against BYU. It seems the final run of the night is where the injury occurred.

Rose joins Cameron Rising and Sam Huard as quarterbacks who have had their seasons cut short due to injury.
This leaves true freshman Isaac Wilson and Luke Bottari as the only healthy quarterbacks on the roster.
Wilson has played about 400 snaps this season and has helped lead Utah to a couple of big wins. He’s currently 98-of-177 for 1,200 yards, 8 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
Brandon Rose provided Utah offense a spark
In his Monday press conference, before the injury had been confirmed by Utah, Kyle Whittingham praised the third-year sophomore.

“I thought he provided a spark and actually played pretty darn good,” Whittingham shared. “I thought that Brandon, for his first collegiate start and first opportunity, did a really nice job. He did some good things.”
He finished the game 12-of-21 for 112 yards, 2 touchdowns, and one interception— which Whittingham clarified was a miscommunication and not necessarily Rose’s fault.
