Utah Tech Endures Blowout Loss To Northern Arizona

ST. GEORGE, UTAH- Utah Tech gets a steamrolling courtesy of Nortern Arizona in a Saturday night matchup by a score of 45-17.
The Trailblazers welcomed their opponents from the Big Sky Conference to Greater Zion Stadium. The game against the Lumberjacks was the second game at home and third of the season.
Utah Tech Versus Northern Arizona Recap
First Half
This game was close early, as Northern Arizona and Utah Tech traded field goals in the first quarter. The Lumberjacks entered the second quarter leading 10-7 after they scored on the last play of the first frame, with a 31-yard touchdown pass.

The second quarter was not kind to the Trailblazers as Northern Arizona scored 21 points. Those scores came on a 55-yard run, an 8-yard pass, and another 2-yard run.
The second quarter beat down drained any momentum that Utah Tech had as they entered the locker room trailing 31-3.
Second Half
The third quarter was a lot of the same, as Northern Arizona put two more touchdowns on the board, finishing off a run of 42 unanswered points.
The Trailblazers hit a bit of a groove in the fourth quarter, scoring twice before the final whistle.
Utah Tech’s first touchdown of the night came on a 4-yard run from Nygel Osborne.

The home team increased their total on the night later in the quarter as Reggie Graff tracked down Tru Tanner in the end zone for a 23-yard touchdown pass, the first touchdown pass of Graff’s career.

Despite the less than ideal margin of defeat, the Utah Tech Trailblazers took some positives from their two touchdown drives in the fourth quarter.
