This is a significant addition to Utah’s 2025 recruiting class. Not only is Dunn the highest-rated prospect now but the offensive line is a big need this cycle as well. So to add a blue-chip piece like Dunn is a big recruiting win for Jim Harding.
About Aaron Dunn
At 6-foot-8 and 290 pounds, Dunn has tremendous size and length for the tackle position. He’s an impressive athlete, especially for his size, thanks to his background in basketball. He’s light on his feet and moves really well.
He will begin to blossom as a tackle as he physically matures and grows stronger, which will occur as he gets to work in a collegiate strength program. That will benefit him in terms of moving opponents in the run game and anchoring against power rushers in pass protection more consistently.
Dunn is a near-consensus four-star prospect in the industry. He holds a 91 four-star rating according to 247Sports, while On3 has given him a three-star 89 rating, the two share similar rating models. According the 247Sports Composite Rating, Dunn holds a four-star .9261 Composite Rating, where he is ranked as the No. 20 offensive tackle in the country.
With his commitment, Dunn becomes the 17th pledge in the class and the 5th on the offensive side. He joins quarterback Wyatt Becker, receiver Tavian McNair, tight end Drew Clemens, and fellow offensive lineman Soren Shinofield.
With 17 pledges one week into the month of August, Utah has secured the bulk of their class with the season kicking off in just a couple of weeks.
