Team U.S.A. Skateboarder Nyjah Huston Enjoys Leading A ‘Simple’ Life

PARIS, France – One of the most accomplished skateboarders in U.S. history, Nyjah Huston is ready for his second Olympic experience at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After finishing seventh in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Huston is focused on bringing some hardware home from Paris.
“I’m a pretty simple guy,” Huston said. “Us skateboarders are simple, humble people.”

A lifelong skateboarder, Huston is familiar with the fear that comes with a big trick but respects the sport’s lore of never saying ‘one more try.’
“At this point, I’ve been skateboarding for 23 years, and for the majority of those years, I’ve been sending my body down massive sets and rails and just taking a beating… You’re not supposed to say, ‘One more try’. That’s just bad luck, man. It’s bad luck; you can’t do it.”

Huston has 14 medals in international competitions. His eight gold medals came in the men’s street world championships in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Most recently, Huston finished seventh in the 2023 men’s street world championships.
Huston runs a charity, Let It Flow, in his free time. The non-profit organization works to provide clean water and sanitation to communities in need all over the globe.
