Miller Sports Bringing Professional Baseball To Salt Lake In October

Smith's Ballpark on Tuesday, July 23 as the Salt Lake Bees prepare to host the El Paso Chihuahuas.
SALT LAKE CITY – Professional baseball is coming to Salt Lake City this October. ‘Beisbol en Salt Lake’ features two teams from La Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico at Smith’s Ballpark on October 5 and 6.
Miller Sports + Entertainment announced two exhibitions between nine-time Mexican Pacific Winter League champ Venados de Mazatlán taking on two-time champion Charros de Jalisco.

“We are excited to welcome La Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico to our community,” Miller Sports + Entertainment executive vice president Ty Wardle said in a prepared release. “This weekend promises to be an amazing event that will showcase the connection baseball has with the Hispanic and Latino communities in Salt Lake City and the state of Utah.”
Games one will occur on Saturday, October 5, at 6:35 p.m. MT. Game two will be at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday, October 6.
“This event will be about not just baseball but the heart and culture of our community,” Luz Escamilla, Utah State Senator, said. “We are grateful for the Salt Lake Bees and Miller Sports + Entertainment for their sponsorship, expertise, and support in bringing this event to life. We are excited to partner with Salt Lake City as Smith’s ballpark will be the epicenter for the upcoming activities, games, and celebrations.”
