SALT LAKE CITY – The countdown is on for Hans & Scotty’s 60 in 60 for the 2024 college football season. Coming in at No. 44 is Utah State defensive end Blaine Spires.
Hans & Scotty’s 2024 60 in 60 List
Throughout the summer, KSL Sports Zone’s Hans Olsen & Scott Garrard are counting down the top 60 college football players in the state of Utah as voted on by the media (and a fan ballot).

After playing his first three seasons of college football at Bowling Green, Spires transferred to USU after the 2022 season.
Last season, Spires recorded 27 total tackles, 13 solo tackles, one pass breakup, five sacks, and one forced fumble.
This fall, USU will open its 2024 season at home against Robert Morris on Saturday, August 31. Listen to Utah State football all season long on KSL Sports Zone (1280 AM).
