Jazz Dismantled By Struggling Nets

SALT LAKE CITY – The Brooklyn Nets dominated the Utah Jazz from start to finish en route to a 147-114 victory.

Keyonte George led the Jazz with 21 points who fell to 2-3 on their six-game road trip.

The Nets picked up their fourth win since Christmas and were led by Mikal Bridges who scored 33 points.

First Quarter

The Nets started the game hot shooting 6-9 from the floor including 3-5 from three to build a 16-11 lead.

The Jazz’s starting backcourt of Collin Sexton and Kris Dunn opened the game shooting 1-7 from the floor with three turnovers.

The Nets used a 14-0 run late in the quarter to build a 36-20 lead.

After one the Jazz trail the Nets 43-28.

Second Quarter

The Jazz used a 9-0 run late in the first and into the second quarter to trim the deficit to nine points.

The Nets active hands defensively helped stifle the Jazz’s first half offense forcing seven turnovers as they rebuilt their lead to 19.

Cam Thomas scored 19 points for the Nets as their lead climbed to 21 late in the half.

At the break, the Jazz trailed the Nets 71-57.

Third Quarter

The Nets opened the half on a 5-0 run to rebuild their lead to 19.

The Jazz answered back cutting the lead to 10 at 80-70 with eight minutes left in the third quarter.

Brooklyn knocked 16 threes in the first quarter while the Jazz made just six.

Through three the Jazz trailed the Nets 104-87.

Fourth Quarter

The Nets slammed the door on the Jazz early in the fourth quarter as their lead grew to 26 points.

Will Hardy went to his deep bench with seven minutes left in the game as the Jazz began to prepare for Tuesday night’s game against the New York Knicks.

The Jazz fell to the Nets 147-114.
