SALT LAKE CITY – The BYU football team will host Iowa State for Week 11 of the 2023 college football season as the Cougars and Cyclones play for the first time since 1974.

Game Information
The Cougars will host the Cyclones at LaVell Edwards Stadium (Capacity: 63,470) in Provo, Utah on Friday, September 29.
After back-to-back road games, BYU returns home to host Iowa State at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday at 8:15pm MST. The game will be televised on ESPN.

Both teams enter the contest with 5-4 records. However, the Cyclones are 4-3 in Big 12 Conference games. BYU sits at 2-4 in league play.

BYU is currently on a two-game skid after losing at Texas and West Virginia. The Cougars beat the Texas Tech Raiders in their last home game, which was also their last victory.
Iowa State will arrive in Provo coming off of a loss to No. 21 Kansas. Prior to the loss, the Cyclones had won three games in a row.

BYU and Iowa State first played in 1968 when the Cyclones defeated the Cougars by a score of 28-0.
The Cougars lost to the Cyclones again in the following season. After a break, BYU and Iowa State played again from 1973-74. In their last meeting, the Cyclones beat the Cougars, 34-7, in 1974.
