Utah Football Will Wear White Throwbacks Against Washington

SALT LAKE CITY – If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Utah football announced they will be wearing their all-white throwbacks one more time against Washington this weekend.

The Utes wore the same uniform combination a few weeks back in Los Angeles when they beat the USC Trojans 34-32.

Utah’s white throwback uniforms have been a fan favorite since they were introduced into the lineup. In 2023 the look got a small update replacing the traditional red face masks with white ones.

Linebackers Karene Reid and Levani Damuni modeled the look this week in a video that played off the rainy, wet weather the Utes are likely to encounter up in Seattle.

Utah Vs. UW Will Be A Sellout This Weekend

The Washington football X account announced their game with Utah this weekend is a sellout helping to set an already big stage.

This weekend is an important one in the Pac-12 with Conference Championship Game implications on the line as the No. 13 Utah Utes head to Seattle to take on the No. 5 Washington Huskies one last time.

Husky Stadium is one of the best venues in all of college football boasting a solid mix of picturesque scenery overlooking Lake Washington, along with a formidable and loud crowd of 70,083 when at capacity.

Utah Just Can’t Play Good, The Need To Play Great Against Washington

“We’ve got a big challenge this week on the road against the No. 5 team in the country,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said Monday. “We’ve got to be at our best. We can’t just play good. We’ve got to be great. That’s just what it’s going to take. It’s going to take another week of great preparation and focus on our player’s part.”

Utah currently sits at 7-2 (4-2 in conference) with a chance to head back to Las Vegas despite having a rash of injuries throughout the 2023 season.

Washington isn’t unbeatable by any means. In fact, over the past few weeks they have shown some chinks in their armor, but as Whittingham said, it will take a massive effort from Utah to pull off the upset. Certainly not impossible but will require an all-out effort top to bottom of the program.
