PROVO, Utah – One of the three signees on the 2024 BYU Golf signing day class is a popular YouTuber.
That’s Lincoln Markham, part of the “What’s Inside Family.” Markham, a Crimson Cliffs High School senior in St. George, signed with BYU Golf on Signing Day this week.

Markham has shown a love for BYU over the years on the What’s Inside YouTube channel with his father, Dan Markham. They’ve posted various videos or photos over the years of them at BYU sporting events. During the COVID season in 2020, they were the only BYU fans in attendance at LaVell Edwards Stadium for the Louisiana Tech game.
The What’s Inside Family YouTube page has 2.2 million subscribers. Their original What’s Inside channel on YouTube amassed 7 million subscribers.
According to the What’s Inside website, the original idea for the channel stemmed from Lincoln when he was in elementary school. He asked, “What’s inside different sports balls?”
From there, it’s evolved into what’s inside a Tesla, the Coronavirus vaccine, shoes, and more.
Now, we need some content with an inside look at life as a BYU golfer.
Recently, Lincoln shared a video on YouTube of what’s inside his golf bag. The video has eclipsed 100,000 views on YouTube.
Lincoln Markham won the title at the UGA Green Springs Amateur
Markham was a member of the 2022 Eddie Hogan Cup and was the leading scorer for Team Utah. This year, Markham has played on Team Utah for the Junior America’s Cup and secured the title at the UGA Green Springs amateur.

“We are excited to sign Lincoln Markham,” said BYU Director of Golf Todd Miller. “He has been improving his scoring average by two shots every year, and he had some great finishes this summer. His final round 70 at IMG Junior World was the second-lowest round in a field of over 200 of the top golfers in the world. He also shot a 64 on the final day of the FCG Callaway World Junior to finish 4th overall.”
Markham plans to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before enrolling at BYU in 2026.
The BYU men’s golf team signed three prospects, including Markham, in the 2024 recruiting cycle. BYU’s two other signees are Kevin Wu from Jiangxi Province, China, and former Corner Canyon High prospect Jackson Mauss. Mauss signed with BYU in 2021 but served a mission in the Cote d’Ivoire Abidjan East mission before enrolling next fall.
