MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota – Talen Horton-Tucker doesn’t care what type of hardware defenders in his way have on their mantle at home. THT beat former NBA DPOY Rudy Gobert to the hoop for a vicious slam.
The Jazz (2-4) is taking on its Northwest Division rival Minnesota Timberwolves (2-2) at Target Center on Saturday, November 4.

With his team trailing by three early in the second half, second-year Jazz guard Talen Horton-Tucker turned the corner and attacked the hoop. Meeting three-time Defensive Player of the Year and former Jazzman Rudy Gobert and the rim, THT threw down a devastating right-handed jam over the Frenchman.
Lauri Markkanen leads three Jazz players in double-figures with 19 points and seven rebounds. Horton-Tucker has 14 points, four rebounds, and four assists in 21 minutes.
Utah trails the Timberwolves 87-74 with less than a minute remaining in the third period.

Jazz Struggling To Find Rhythm
Outside of strong play early from Lauri Markkanen and the reliable contributions from newcomer John Collins the Jazz have struggled to find a consistent identity through six games.
Jordan Clarkson, last season’s second-leading scorer has shot below 31 percent in five of six outingsone-man and is averaging 3.8 turnovers per game.
Talen Horton-Tucker has yet to score in double-digits in back-to-back games and is shooting just 41 percent from the floor and 21 percent from three.

Collin Sexton has the best shooting percentages of the Jazz guards but has failed to record an assist in three of his six outings.
Similarly, rookie phenom Walker Kessler has had a less-than-ideal start to the year. Kessler has broken double-digits scoring once this season. He has the seventh-worst total plus-minus of any player in the NBA.
Timberwolves Cause Problems For Champs
After a disappointing 1-2 start to the season, the Timberwolves found their groove with an impressive 110-89 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
Anthony Edwards scored a team-high 24 points while the Timberwolves held the Nuggets to just 39 percent shooting from the floor and 18 percent from three.

Rudy Gobert had the worst shooting night of his career, failing to convert on all seven of his shot attempts.
Gobert still recorded four points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks in the win.
