NBA 2K Ranks Walker Kessler As Second Best Rookie

SALT LAKE CITY – The popular NBA 2K video game series recently updated its player rankings, boosting Utah Jazz rookie Walker Kessler to an 83 rating overall.
Kessler’s rating jumped from 81 to 83 in the latest move, making him the second-highest-ranked rookie behind only Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero has an 84 rating.
The Jazz center is followed closely by Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Jalen Williams who has a rating of 82, and three other first-round picks with 80 ratings.

Where Does 2K Rating Place Kessler On Jazz
It should come as no surprise that Lauri Markkanen is the Jazz’s highest-ranked player in the NBA 2K series coming in with an overall rating of 86.
Markkanen is ranked as the 45th best player overall in 2k, but is tied with 10 other player with an 86 overall rating.
For reference, Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid are ranked as the top-five players in the game with ratings of 97 overall.
Surprisingly, Kessler is now ranked as the Jazz second-best player with his latest rating bump.
The rookie’s 83 overall rating sits one point ahead of Jordan Clarkson’s 82, two points ahead of Collin Sexton’s 81, and four points ahead of Kelly Olynyk’s 79.

Kessler is ranked as the 45th-best frontcourt player in NBA 2K, though his 83 rating is tied with 12 other players including notably Draymond Green and Aaron Gordon.
Two-way forward Micah Potter has the lowest rating of any Jazz player at 67, falling just below rookie Johnny Juzang at 68.
Ochai Agbaji, after a strong showing since January, is ranked as the Jazz’s seventh-best player with a rating of 77 overall, good for 13th among the rookie class.
