SALT LAKE CITY – The Venezuelan national team named Real Salt Lake forward Jefferson Savarino to its roster for upcoming friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.
Due to Savarino’s international obligations, the forward will miss Real Salt Lake’s next match.
Savarino and Venezuela will take on Saudi Arabia on Friday, March 24 and Uzbekistan on Tuesday, March 28.
Because of those contests, the winger won’t be available for Real Salt Lake’s home contest against St. Louis City SC on Saturday, March 25.
In 27 appearances for Venezuela, Savarino has scored two goals. He’s been a member of the national team since 2017. Prior to that, Savarino was on Venezuela’s U20 and U21 rosters.
