Jazz Drop Final Game Of Road Trip In Miami
SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz dropped their final game of a six-game road trip falling to the Miami Heat 119-115.
Lauri Markkanen had a strong bounce-back performance after his 3-22 performance in Charlotte scoring 38 points on 14-26 shooting.
Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 24 points.
First Quarter
The Heat knocked down three early three-pointers taking a 15-9 lead midway through the first quarter.
The Jazz struggled to take care of the ball, turning it over five times in the first six minutes of the game.

Simone Fontecchio gave the Jazz a boost with a team-high 11 first quarter points, leading all scorers.
After one the Jazz trailed the Heat 33-26.
Second Quarter
The Jazz opened the quarter on a 13-5 run thanks to hot shooting from Fontechio and Lauri Markkanen.
Utah’s sharp shooting opened up the paint as they attacked Miami off the dribble leading to easy baskets at the rim.

Markkanen and Fontecchio had 41 combined points at halftime while the Heat were led by Gabe Vincent who had 11.
At the break, the Jazz led Miami 57-56.
Third Quarter
The Heat had no answer for Markkanen in the third quarter as he upped his total to 32 points to lead all scorers.
Bam Adebayo took over for Miami scoring seven points against the Jazz second unit in the final minutes of the period.

All five Heat starters were in double-digits heading into the fourth quarter, led by Jimmy Butler with 19.
After three the Jazz and Heat were tied at 90.
Fourth Quarter
Rudy Gay gave the Jazz a spark in the fourth quarter scoring a quick five points to open the fourth quarter.
After trailing 109-104, the Jazz reeled off a 7-0 run to take a 111-109 lead with 4:33 left to play.
Tyler Herro’s late three gave the Heat a 117-115 lead and the Jazz were unable to close the gap.
The Jazz fell in Miami 119-115.
