Utah State Receives At-Large Bid To Men’s NCAA Tournament
SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah State men’s basketball team received an at-large bid to participate in the upcoming 2023 NCAA Tournament.
The Aggies heard their name called during the tourney’s selection show on Sunday, March 12.
USU earned one of the 36 at-large spots in the men’s tournament.
The Aggies received a No. 10 seed and will play the No. 7 Missouri Tigers in the first round of the event. Utah State and Missouri will play at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California on Thursday, March 16. Tip-off time has yet to be determined. The contest will be broadcast on KSL Sports Zone.

Utah State waited to hear its name called on Sunday after the Aggies failed to earn the Mountain West Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

USU finished the regular season with a 24-7 overall record, including 13-5 in league play. That record earned Utah State the No. 3 seed in the Mountain West’s Tournament.
The Aggies defeated the New Mexico Lobos and Boise State Broncos during their first two games of the conference tourney and advanced to the final against the No. 20 ranked San Diego State Aztecs.
The Aztecs defeated the Aggies, 62-57, on Saturday, March 11. It was Utah State’s first loss since February 11 and snapped a seven-game winning streak.
Some of Utah State’s notable wins this season include victories over Utah Valley, Bradley, Santa Clara, Oral Roberts, San Francisco, Loyola Marymount, Washington State, Boise State, Nevada, and San José State.
The Aggies will enter the NCAA Tournament with a 26-8 record.
