RSL President Says Team ‘Will Absolutely Be Active’ During Transfer Window
Mar 10, 2023, 3:42 PM
SALT LAKE CITY – Real Salt Lake president John Kimball said that the Utah-based Major League Soccer club “will absolutely be active” during this year’s transfer window.
Kimball discussed RSL during an interview with David James and Patrick Kinahan on KSL Sports Zone’s DJ & PK on Friday, March 10, a day before the franchise’s 2023 home opener.
During the interview, the team president was asked what the odds were of his club being active during the transfer window.
“For us to be representing ourselves going to the four of the last five playoffs. That kind of shows what Elliot [Fall] and Kurt [Schmid] and our team is really focused on what they’re doing. They will absolutely be active,” Kimball told DJ & PK. “There’s a lot of things that we’re working on. And it’s going to be exciting and all of our team’s healthy. We’ve got Damir [Kreilach] back. It’s going to be an exciting season. I’m really excited to see what they’re going to be able to do this year.”
Since the beginning of the calendar year, Real Salt Lake has made a series of transactions. The club has added Carlos Gómez, Brayan Vera, and Moses Neyman. In addition to those players, Real Salt Lake picked up money and a draft pick in a deal with Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
