Finau on Netflix’s “Full Swing”
Finau recently landed on the cast for Netflix’s new documentary series on golf, “Full Swing.”
The series premiered on the streaming service on February 15.
“This immersive documentary series follows a diverse group of professional golfers — on and off the course — during a relentless season of competition,” reads Netflix’s description of the docuseries.
Finau is one of more than a dozen professional golfers that will have a spot in the series.
In a preview of the series written by PGATour.com’s Cameron Morfit, Finau discussed what it was like to be part of the show and the experience of having a television crew around him.
“They were everywhere,” Finau said. “On off-weeks, they were home with me. I felt like they did a lot of filming. I knew when I said yes that that was a possibility. So, I told my wife. She was all-in; she didn’t mind it.”
Finau added that the crew ended up spending time with him and his family in the Beehive State.
“It got to a point where it felt like they were just a fly on the wall,” Finau continued. “We got to know the crew because it was the same people. They visited Utah, we had a great old time. They ended up being people I’d call friends now. I’ve got a great relationship with some of them.”
