SALT LAKE CITY- The stage has been set for the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas next week.

The 22nd Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament tips off on Wednesday, March 1 and will run through Sunday, March 5 when a champion will be crowned.

No. 8 Utah and No. 3 Stanford split the regular season Pac-12 Title, both finishing their seasons 15-3. This is the third consecutive regular season title for the Cardinal and 26th in program history. The Utes on the other hand are enjoying their first-ever title.

Despite sharing a title, Stanford gets the nod for the No. 1 seed due their 2-0 record against the Colorado Buffaloes while Utah will get the No. 2 seed. Earlier in the week both Utah and Stanford were projected as No. 1 seeds for the NCAA Tournament later in March.

Stanford, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona will all enjoy a BYE from the first round of the tournament and won’t play till Thursday, March 6.  UCLA, Arizona State, Washington, Oregon, Washington State, California, USC, and Oregon State will begin play in Wednesday’s opener with hopes of facing the first four the next day.
