SALT LAKE CITY – Real Salt Lake announced that the club has signed Colombian defender Brayan Vera from América de Calí of Colombian Primera.
RSL officially announced the addition of Vera, 24, on Monday, February 13.
The newest member to wear the Claret and Cobalt will arrive in Utah on a permanent transfer. Vera’s deal is for three seasons with options in 2026 and 2027.
“Brayan is yet another piece that provides depth and competition on our back line, as he is equally adept both on the left side as well as centrally,” Real Salt Lake general manager Elliot Fall said in a statement. “We believe that Brayan’s path from Colombia to Italy and back to South America during his formative professional years have prepared him to be a key piece for our 2023 roster and beyond.”
