Mitchell Earns First Starting All-Star Nod
After being named a reserve each of the last three seasons with the Jazz, Mitchell broke through as an All-Star starter with the Cavaliers.
The former Jazz guard was averaging a career-high 28.3 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 48 percent from the floor and 39 percent from the three-point line when he was named a starter last week.

The guard averaged 23.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per contest while shooting 44% from the field and 36% from three.
Mitchell will be selected by either LeBron James or Giannis Antetokounmpo, the captains of the two All-Star teams.
Utah To Host All-Star Game
The Jazz are preparing to host the All-Star game in Salt Lake City for the first time since 1993.
âWeâre going to roll from Salt Lake to Park City,â said Jazz owner Ryan Smith during the 2022 All-Star broadcast. âDonât come for a couple of days, come for the whole week.â
Last February, the Jazz released a video of all 30 All-Star logos dating back to when it was in Utah.
The Jazz were awarded the 2023 game when the team was still under the ownership of the Miller family.
In 2016, Vivint Arena received a $125 million renovation under the Millerâs which helped them land the star-studded weekend.
