Davante Adams: Would Be ‘Dream Scenario’ If Rodgers Became Raider

SACRAMENTO, Calif – The Las Vegas Raiders are going to have a new quarterback next season. And if Davante Adams’s recruiting skills are as good as his receiving skills, it could be his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Or at least, that’s something he’d like to see happen.
After the game, he was asked by reporters if he’d like to have Rodgers as his quarterback again.
“Why I be interested in having Aaron Rodgers throw to me? Uh yes, I would love that,” Adams said, but adding he’s first-team all-troll. “So don’t take none of that too serious. But I would love to have that and obviously that would be a dream scenario, one that I’m very familiar with.”

Whether or not that comes to fruition remains to be seen. Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Adams plans to express his thoughts on the quarterback situation with general manager Dave Ziegler sooner than later.
“There’s a lot of conversations to be had, still, in the near future,” Adams said. “We’ll see what happens, but that’s obviously something I’d go in and talk about.”
The two have a connection. In eight seasons with Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback in Green Bay, Adams amassed 73 touchdowns from 669 passes and 8,121 receiving yards.
But Rodgers is 39 and will turn 40 by the time the 2023 season ends. And he’s spoken about needing time to “contemplate” what the next move in his career could be. Is it retirement? Is it a return to Green Bay?
