SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz will look to take the tiebreaker from the Minnesota Timberwolves when the two teams face off on Wednesday night.

The Jazz are coming off a two-game home losing streak while the Timberwolves travel to Utah after getting crushed by the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night.

The two teams are within one game of each other in the Western Conference playoff race.

Jazz Looking To Snap Losing Streak

The Jazz will wrap up their five-game homestand looking to snap a two-game losing streak.

After opening the stretch with wins over the Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors the Jazz have fallen to Atlanta Hawks and Mavericks.

Jazz coach Will Hardy said he was frustrated with the team’s effort in Monday’s loss.

“This is the first game all season where I’ve just felt disappointed in our focus” Jazz coach Will Hardy said.

“There’s always nights where the bounces don’t go your way, you don’t make shots, the other team plays great and there was a little bit of that in tonight’s game, but I felt like collectively we just did not have the necessary focus and attention to the little things.”

The Jazz currently own the 10th seed in the West at 27-28.

Timberwolves Coming Off Blowout Loss

The Timberwolves were blown out by the Nuggets on Monday falling 146-112.

No Timberwolves starter played more than 21 minutes after giving up 49 first quarter points.

Former Jazzman Rudy Gobert went scoreless in the loss as Minnesota faces a quick turnaround in Utah.

The Timberwolves own a one-game lead over the Jazz for the ninth seed in the West.

The Jazz own a 2-1 lead in the season series and can clinch the tiebreaker with a win.
