Utah’s Alissa Pili Added To Another Midseason Watch List
SALT LAKE CITY – Utah forward Alissa Pili was added to another midseason watch list after dominating over the weekend for the Utes on their Oregon trip.
Pili is now on the radar for the Naismith Trophy Women’s Player of the Year given out to the best athlete in women’s basketball annually. Last week, Pili was named to the Katrina McClain Power Forward Top 10 List as well as the John R. Wooden Late Season watch list.
Pili is one of 30 hopefuls for the award that will be narrowed down to 10 national semifinalists in early March. Four finalists will be named on March 21, 2023, with the winner officially being announced on March 29, 2023.

The Impact Of Alissa Pili On A Historic Season
Pili is the leading scorer for the No. 7 ranked Utes who currently hold a 20-2 overall record on the season while sitting at No. 5 nationally in winning percentage.
Pili ranks 15th nationally while leading the Pac-12 in scoring at 20.9 points per game. Her shooting percentage ranks 16th nationally and leads the Pac-12 at 61.9%.
Pili recently reached the 1,000-career-point mark and currently has a streak of scoring 20 or more points in seven consecutive games starting with her 27-point performance against Arizona.
The talented forward put up a season-high performance last Sunday against Oregon posting 30 points in the game as part of her scoring streak.
Pili is one of four Pac-12 athletes being recognized on the Naismith Trophy Women’s Player of the Year watch list, joining the likes of Stanford’s Cameron Brink and Haley Jones and UCLA’s Charisma Osborne.
