Former Bingham High Standout Scores During Cowboys-49ers Playoff Game

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Bingham Miners and current Dallas Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz scored for a second straight playoff game during a Divisional Round contest against the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers hosted the Cowboys at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, January 22.
With 9:25 remaining in the first half, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott connected with Schultz for four yards and six points.
Schultz’s touchdown got Dallas on the scoreboard and gave the Cowboys a 6-3 lead.

The catch capped a 14-play, 74-yard drive that took 7:47 off the game clock.
After the score, Schultz had one reception for four yards.
The Cowboys entered the NFL Playoffs with a 12-5 record and beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round. Against the Buccaneers, Schultz had seven receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns.
In his first four postseason games, the former Bingham star had 15 catches for 204 yards and two touchdowns.

About Dalton Schultz
Following his high school career at Bingham, Schultz played for the Stanford Cardinal.
After his time at Stanford, the Cowboys selected Schultz during the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Schultz saw little playing time during his first two seasons in the league. In 2020, he caught the first touchdown of his NFL career and finished the year with four scores.
Last season, Schultz had a breakout year for Dallas. He helped the Cowboys reach the playoffs and ended the year with 78 catches for 808 yards and eight touchdowns.

Before the Divisional Round, Schultz had recorded 211 receptions for 2,122 yards and 17 touchdowns during his five regular seasons in the league, all with the Cowboys.
