Local Players Make Major Plays During Divisional Round Of NFL Playoffs

SALT LAKE CITY – Multiple local NFL players made massive plays to help their teams during the second weekend of postseason football.

Here is how all of the players with ties to the state of Utah performed during the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs.

Former Utah Utes

Devin Lloyd – Linebacker – Jacksonville Jaguars (9-8)

The former Utah linebacker had eight total tackles, three solo tackles, and two quarterback hits in Jacksonville’s 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, January 21.

Next Game: None – Eliminated from NFL Playoffs

Britain Covey – Wide Receiver – Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)

The former Utah wide receiver and the Eagles beat the New York Giants, 38-7, on Saturday, January 21.

Next Game: NFL Playoffs – NFC Championship Game vs. San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, January 29 at 1 p.m. (MDT) on FOX

Mitch Wishnowsky – Punter – San Francisco 49ers (13-4)

The former Utah punter punted four times with an average of 41.0 yards per kick in San Francisco’s 19-12 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, January 22.

Andy Reid – Head Coach – Kansas City Chiefs (14-3)

The former BYU player and graduate assistant led the Chiefs to a 27-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, January 21.

Fred Warner – Linebacker – San Francisco 49ers (13-4)

The former BYU linebacker had nine total tackles, seven solo tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass breakup, and an interception in San Francisco’s 19-12 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, January 22.

The former Utah State defensive back had one tackle in Cincinnati’s 27-10 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, January 22.

Taron Johnson – Cornerback – Buffalo Bills (13-3)

Dalton Schultz – Tight End – Dallas Cowboys (Bingham/Stanford) (12-5)

The former Bingham standout had five receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown in Dallas’ 19-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, January 22.

Simi Fehoko – Wide Receiver – Dallas Cowboys (Brighton/Stanford) (12-5)

The former Brighton standout is currently on Dallas’ Injured Reserve list. The Cowboys suffered a 19-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, January 22.

Marcus Kemp – Wide Receiver – Kansas City Chiefs (Layton/Hawai’i) (14-3)
