Local Players Make Major Plays During Divisional Round Of NFL Playoffs

SALT LAKE CITY – Multiple local NFL players made massive plays to help their teams during the second weekend of postseason football.
Here is how all of the players with ties to the state of Utah performed during the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs.

Former Utah Utes
Devin Lloyd – Linebacker – Jacksonville Jaguars (9-8)
The former Utah linebacker had eight total tackles, three solo tackles, and two quarterback hits in Jacksonville’s 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, January 21.

Britain Covey – Wide Receiver – Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)
The former Utah wide receiver and the Eagles beat the New York Giants, 38-7, on Saturday, January 21.

Mitch Wishnowsky – Punter – San Francisco 49ers (13-4)
The former Utah punter punted four times with an average of 41.0 yards per kick in San Francisco’s 19-12 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, January 22.

The former BYU linebacker had nine total tackles, seven solo tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass breakup, and an interception in San Francisco’s 19-12 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, January 22.

The former Brighton standout is currently on Dallas’ Injured Reserve list. The Cowboys suffered a 19-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, January 22.
