Utah Valley Wolverines Extend Winning Streak To Nine Against Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Utah Valley Wolverines travelled to the College Park Center to take on the Arlington Mavericks on Thursday.

Utah Valley opened the first half hot, jumping out to a 21-8 lead in the first 10 minutes.
Off of the bench, Justin Harmon was the leading scorer for the Wolverines. He had 21 points on 6 for 10 from the field. He also shot 12 free throws, making 9 of them.

Trey Woodbury and Aziz Bandaogo also did a lot of damage for UVU, adding 14 points and 13 points respectively. They combined for a quality 10 for 21 from the field.

The Mavericks did a lot of work to claw back from the double-digit deficit. The score was 33-28 at halftime.

Texas continued to fight from behind, they tied up the game at 44. But, Bandaogo made his presence felt in the paint.

Bandaogo had multiple dunks in the game against the Mavericks. A few came off of some nice alley-oop feeds from the Wolverines guards.

After regaining the lead, the Wolverines didn’t look back. They maintained at least a 5-point lead for the rest of regulation. The final score was 72-64.

The win over the Mavericks extends the UVU’s winning streak to nine. The streak has seen some impressive wins like the ones over Oregon, BYU, and Sam Houston State.
