SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz losing streak climbed to four after falling 126-123 to the Miami Heat after Tyler Herro hit an improbable buzzer-beater to win the game.

The Heat were without All-Star Jimmy Butler but got 32 points from Bam Adebayo and 29 from Herro in the win.

The Jazz were led by Lauri Markkanen who scored 29 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the loss.

First Quarter

After a 4-0 Miami start, the Jazz answered with a 7-0 run to open the game.

The Jazz struggled to keep Miami out of the paint as the Heat shot 10-13 inside the arc, but held them to just 2-9 beyond the three-point line.

Jordan Clarkson led the Jazz with eight points in the first quarter while Bam Adebayo had eight to lead the Heat.

After one the Jazz trailed the Heat 31-30.

Second Quarter

After a six-game stretch in which Malik Beasley knocked down just 11-51 three-point attempts for 21 percent, he hit his first three against the Heat.

The Heat caught fire in the second quarter scoring on 14 of their first 16 trips down the floor.

Miami assisted on 21-26 field goals in the first half while the Jazz shot 9-19 to keep the game close.

At the break, the Jazz trailed the Heat 69-63.

Third Quarter

After trailing Miami 79-71 four minutes into the second half, the Jazz strung together a 9-0 run to climb back into the game.

The Jazz built their lead to as large as seven, 98-91 before the Heat closed the third quarter on a 5-0 to keep the game close.

Lauri Markkanen had 20 points to lead the Jazz through three while Malik Beasley added 17 off the bench. Tyler Herro led Miami with 22.

After three the Jazz led the Heat 98-96.

Fourth Quarter

Collin Sexton hit two threes early in the third quarter as the Jazz maintained a narrow 106-104 lead midway through the fourth against the Heat.

However, the Jazz shot just 4-13 over the first eight minutes of the final period as the Heat retook a 114-111 lead.

Lauri Markkanen scored 29 points including three clutch free throws to tie the game with six seconds left to play but Herro went the length of the floor for the game-winning three.

The Jazz fell to Miami 129-126.
